The daily vehicle traffic volume on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has reached a new high, with significant growth in vehicles with Hong Kong and Macao license plates

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Customs announced today that on February 1, the number of vehicles entering and exiting the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge port exceeded 25,000 in a single day, setting a new historical high. Data shows that from January 28 to February 1, the total number of vehicles under customs supervision entering and exiting exceeded 95,000, a year-on-year increase of 35.6%, among which vehicles with Hong Kong and Macao license plates reached 69,000, a year-on-year increase of 40.4%. In addition, in 2024, the number of Hong Kong and Macao travelers entering and exiting through the Zhuhai road port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge exceeded 16.2 million, a year-on-year increase of 63%, accounting for nearly 60% of the total passenger flow at the port. Since its opening in 2018, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has become an important transportation hub connecting Hong Kong, Macao, and Zhuhai, greatly shortening the travel time between the three places
