KOALA FIN GP issued a profit warning, expecting to incur a loss of approximately HKD 24.7 million for the year ending December 31, 2024, a significant turnaround from a profit of approximately HKD 9.2 million in the same period of 2023. The loss is mainly attributed to the write-off of receivables and interest, as well as losses arising from changes in the fair value of financial assets
According to the announcement from KOALA FIN GP (08226), compared to a profit of approximately HKD 9.2 million for the same period in 2023, the company expects to incur a loss of approximately HKD 24.7 million for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024.
The loss is primarily attributed to the write-off of approximately HKD 1.1 million in receivable loans and interest from the same borrower, as well as a loss of approximately HKD 11.4 million due to the fair value changes of financial assets recognized at fair value through profit or loss, amounting to approximately HKD 18.5 million in receivables
