Jensen Huang's keynote speech at the Chain Expo: Taking off the leather jacket, putting on the Tang suit, opening in Chinese

Jensen Huang emphasized NVIDIA's progress in the field of AI computing during his speech at the Chain Expo, reviewing the journey from GPU to general computing. He stated that NVIDIA's systems and algorithms have undergone multiple iterations, becoming the driving platform for the global AI ecosystem. He delivered his speech in Chinese for the first time, expressing appreciation for the Chinese supply chain and mentioning that NVIDIA's achievements stem from the early development of GPUs, which opened a new era of accelerated computing
Jensen Huang stated that NVIDIA started with GPUs and opened the door to general computing during its development, laying the foundation for human AI. "From the Kepler architecture to the latest Blackwell architecture, NVIDIA has made progress in artificial intelligence computing. Our systems and algorithms have undergone hundreds of thousands of iterations, making NVIDIA a computing platform that drives the global AI ecosystem."
I am honored to attend the Chain Expo. The Chinese supply chain is a miracle, and this is also my first opportunity to showcase and introduce NVIDIA to supply chain companies.
I grew up in the United States and learned a lot of Chinese, but I am very nervous to give a speech in Chinese today.
Dear guests and friends, hello everyone. I am very happy to be in China this time. This is my first time attending the Chain Expo, which is very large in scale and has a very lively atmosphere, fully reflecting China's strong belief in innovation and inspiring the prosperity of the craftsman spirit.
I will now finish the remaining part of my speech in English, and I won't torture you for the rest of the time.
This is my first time here.
It all started a long time ago. At that time, NVIDIA was just a small startup, and we brought 3D display technology to PC products, thus catalyzing one of the largest entertainment industries in the world, the PC gaming industry, which is something to be proud of.
Our achievements are built on the foundation of pioneers. In 1999, we developed the first GPU hardware—the world's first programmable graphics processor, opening a new door into a new era of accelerated computing. Transforming the GPU into a general computing engine laid the foundation for the development of the AI era.
Decades ago, the emergence of NVIDIA GPUs ignited the prairie fire of artificial intelligence. Before that, related software ran on CPUs, but now, AI learning is based on the parallel computing of GPUs. This is a transformation from human programming logic to machine learning intelligence, and it is also a reboot of the computer industry.
In 2016, NVIDIA launched the world's first artificial intelligence supercomputer (Note: In 2016, Jensen Huang personally delivered the world's first DGX-1 to OpenAI), and I was also involved in the delivery, which was to a small, unknown startup located in San Francisco, USA, that was exploring AlexNet at the time.
From the Kepler architecture to the latest Blackwell architecture, NVIDIA has made progress in artificial intelligence computing. Our systems and algorithms have undergone hundreds of thousands of iterations, making NVIDIA a computing platform that drives the global AI ecosystem.
Artificial intelligence is changing every industry, including scientific research, as well as some iconic platforms in China, such as WeChat and Alipay, as well as autonomous vehicles on the road and smartphones in people's hands. These are all the power of artificial intelligence, and I look forward to its application in medical imaging diagnostic technology, which will improve global healthcare capabilitiesChinese developers and entrepreneurs are driving rapid innovation in AI, with 1 million developers now engaged in this field, including DeepSeek, Alibaba, MiniMax, and Baidu. The products they develop are world-class and are advancing global artificial intelligence development.
China's open-source AI is a catalyst for global progress, providing opportunities for various industries worldwide to join the AI revolution. Open source is crucial and essential for the safety of artificial intelligence, so we need to promote global international standard cooperation in the AI industry.
Today, artificial intelligence has become infrastructure, akin to the importance of electricity and the internet before the AI revolution.
From a supply chain perspective, it has changed the way we build and transport goods. Currently, China has hundreds of research projects simulating digital twins for designing and optimizing factory construction, and many robots are trained through NVIDIA's Omniverse, a virtual world that effectively ensures safety. The next wave of AI that can understand the physical world and execute tasks will emerge within 10 years, fundamentally changing existing factory models and working alongside humans to manufacture intelligent products.
Artificial intelligence will transform every industry, company products, and services, triggering a new industrial revolution and growth opportunities.
