
After the market closes on September 12, the STAR Market Index will undergo a rebalancing for the third quarter of 2025
On August 29, Shanghai Securities Journal learned from the Shanghai Stock Exchange and China Securities Index Company that, according to index compilation rules, the samples of the Sci-Tech Innovation 50 and other innovation indices are adjusted quarterly, with this adjustment to be implemented after the market closes on September 12. SYE will be added to the Sci-Tech Innovation 50 index, while EFORT, BLUETRUM, and three other securities will be added to the Sci-Tech Innovation 100 index. After this sample adjustment, on one hand, the representativeness of the broad-based innovation index for the Sci-Tech Innovation Board market is further enhanced. After the adjustment, the total market capitalization of the Sci-Tech Innovation 50 index is 3.1 trillion yuan, with a coverage rate of 38.9%. The total market capitalization of the Sci-Tech Innovation 100 index is 1.9 trillion yuan, with a coverage rate of 24.4%. The total market capitalization coverage rate of the Sci-Tech Innovation 50, 100, and 200 indices reaches 84.6%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points compared to before the adjustment, collectively well representing the performance of large, medium, and small-cap securities on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board. On the other hand, the top five constituent stocks of the Sci-Tech Innovation 50 and 100 indices remain largely unchanged. The number of adjustments has not reached the proportional limit for several consecutive quarters, indicating that the market capitalization structure of Sci-Tech Innovation Board securities is relatively stable. The combined weight of the top five weighted stocks in the Sci-Tech Innovation 50 is 39.1%; the combined weight of the top five weighted stocks in the Sci-Tech Innovation 100 is 13.9%.
