At the 2025 World Intelligent Industry Expo, Zhu Huarong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd., mentioned in his speech that the automotive industry is accelerating its embrace of the AI-driven new automotive era, where future vehicles will be evolutionary intelligent automotive robots. It is expected that by 2030, L2 level assisted driving will become standard in domestic passenger cars, and the coverage of L3 level and above assisted driving will exceed 10%. He also mentioned that it is anticipated that this year, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China will reach 16 million units, with a penetration rate exceeding 50%. By 2030, 80% of the Chinese market will be new energy vehicles, and the global market penetration rate for new energy vehicles is expected to reach 40% by 2030. In the future, automotive groups with a dual power layout of fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles will have significant advantages globally. Furthermore, Zhu Huarong believes that the best window for Chinese automotive brands to go overseas may only remain for two to three years.
