
The second meeting of the China-Singapore Digital Policy Dialogue was held in Chongqing
On September 28, Liu Liehong, Director of the National Data Bureau, and Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Communications and Information and the Ministry of Health of Singapore, held the second meeting of the China-Singapore Digital Policy Dialogue Mechanism in Chongqing. The Chinese side stated that data has become a fundamental resource and innovation engine driving economic and social development, and the prospects for China-Singapore digital cooperation are broad. Both sides have pragmatically carried out work under the China-Singapore Digital Policy Dialogue Mechanism, achieving good progress, with new breakthroughs in the interconnection of digital infrastructure, new steps in the coordination of digital rules and standards, and new developments in digital ecology and talent cooperation. The National Data Bureau is willing to work with the Ministry of Communications and Information of Singapore to adhere to the principles of mutual benefit, pragmatism, openness, and innovation, and to promote work in four areas: first, continuously strengthen the interconnection of digital infrastructure, expand the application of international data channels between China and Singapore, and explore cross-border trusted data spaces; second, accelerate the promotion of the coordination and mutual recognition of digital rules and standards, and enhance cooperation between the two countries in standards related to data and artificial intelligence applications; third, deepen the mechanism for industrial cooperation and talent exchange, and promote the docking cooperation of industrial platforms and exhibition resources between the two countries; fourth, better serve the business operations of enterprises in both countries and facilitate the cross-border flow of data in fields such as healthcare and finance
