iPhone 17 makes a contribution! Apple's Q3 shipments in China increased by 0.6% against the trend

According to data released by research firm IDC on Wednesday, despite weak demand in the Chinese smartphone market, Apple's shipments in China still grew by 0.6% year-on-year in the third quarter, reaching 10.8 million units. During this period, Apple ranked second in shipments with a market share of 15.8%. Specific data shows that the total smartphone shipments in China decreased by 0.6% year-on-year in the third quarter, totaling 68.4 million units. The decline was more pronounced in the second quarter, reaching 4%. Will Wong, a senior smartphone analyst at IDC, stated: "Apple's cost-effective base model iPhone 17 successfully attracted budget-conscious consumers, which helped it achieve slight growth and improve its ranking compared to the previous quarter." Among the top three smartphone brands in domestic shipments, Apple was the only brand to achieve growth in shipments during this quarter. Huawei's shipments slightly decreased by 1% to 10.4 million units, ranking third; the top-ranked vivo saw a year-on-year decline of 7.8%, with shipments totaling 11.8 million units. However, IDC noted that thanks to the launch of several flagship models last month, the Chinese smartphone market is expected to see a rebound in early the fourth quarter
