CLP and HKELECTRIC will reduce the fuel adjustment fee next month to the lowest level of the year

According to Ming Pao, CLP (00002.HK) and HKELECTRIC (02638.HK) have both lowered their fuel adjustment fees. CLP's net electricity fee per kilowatt-hour next month will decrease by 2.8% from the beginning of the year to 140.3 cents, while HKELECTRIC's net electricity fee will decrease by 8.4% to 152.9 cents.

The net electricity fees of both companies consist of a basic electricity fee and a fuel adjustment fee. HKELECTRIC announced that the fuel adjustment fee per kilowatt-hour next month will be reduced by 1.8 cents to 30 cents, a decrease of about 32% compared to January this year. CLP's fuel adjustment fee per kilowatt-hour next month will be reduced by 0.2 cents to 42.3 cents, a decrease of about 8.6% compared to January this year.

Data shows that the fuel adjustment fees for both companies next month are the lowest since the beginning of this year, and CLP has reduced its fuel adjustment fee for nine consecutive months
