According to the Zhitong Finance APP, the world's first Robotaxi stock, WeRide-W (00800), will be open for subscription from October 28 to November 3, 2025, with a proposed global offering of 88,250,000 shares, of which 5% will be offered in Hong Kong and 95% internationally. The maximum public offering price is HKD 35 per share, with a board lot of 100 shares, resulting in an entry fee of HKD 3,535.3. The shares are expected to begin trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on November 6, 2025.
WeRide is a global leader in autonomous driving technology, with operations covering over 30 cities in 11 countries. It is the only technology company in the world whose products have obtained autonomous driving licenses in seven countries. The company implements a balanced growth strategy for domestic and international development, owning over 1,500 autonomous vehicles globally, including more than 700 robotaxis and over 100 in the Middle East. According to data from ZhiShi Consulting, in 2024, WeRide holds a 21.8% market share in revenue generated from L4 level and above autonomous driving on urban roads. In core markets such as the Middle East and Singapore, the company maintains a first-mover advantage of at least one and a half years over its peers; in European countries like France, Switzerland, and Belgium, it is the only autonomous driving company to have deployed an L4 fleet.
According to WeRide's latest financial report, in the second quarter of 2025, WeRide's revenue reached CNY 127 million, a year-on-year increase of 60.8%; the Robotaxi business generated revenue of CNY 45.9 million in the second quarter, a substantial year-on-year increase of 836.7%, setting a new quarterly record since the company's establishment; the proportion of Robotaxi business revenue in the second quarter significantly increased to 36.1%, marking a historical high since 2021; gross profit grew by 40.6% year-on-year, with a steady increase in growth rate; the size of the Abu Dhabi Robotaxi fleet has tripled since 2024, significantly enhancing scale effects; Robotaxi has operated safely for over 2,200 days, setting a new safety benchmark in the industry.
The company estimates that if the maximum offering price is set at HKD 35 per share, and assuming the over-allotment option is not exercised, the net proceeds from the global offering, after deducting estimated underwriting commissions, fees, and expenses payable by the company, will be approximately HKD 2.93 billion. The company currently intends to use the net proceeds from the global offering for the following purposes: approximately 40% will be used to develop the autonomous driving technology stack; approximately 40% will be used for the commercialization and mass production of L4 level fleets; approximately 10% will be used to establish marketing teams and branches to expand into more markets; and approximately 10% will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes
