Morgan Stanley analysis states that global cloud capital expenditures may reach USD 820 billion in 2026, with capital expenditures on AI servers increasing by 70% year-on-year. According to the latest survey by TrendForce, as the demand for AI servers rapidly expands, major global cloud service providers are increasing their procurement of NVIDIA GPU integrated solutions, expanding data center infrastructure, and accelerating the development of self-researched AI ASICs. It is estimated that this will drive the combined capital expenditure of the eight major CSPs, including Google, AWS, Meta, Microsoft, Oracle, Tencent, Alibaba, and Baidu, to exceed $42 billion in 2025, with an annual increase of 61%.
TrendForce also stated that in 2026, with the continued growth of AI cabinet solutions such as GB/VR, the total capital expenditure of CSPs is expected to reach a new high of over $52 billion, with AI cabinet solutions continuing to expand.
It can be said that global CSPs are experiencing an unprecedented capital expenditure frenzy. Morgan Stanley analysis indicates that global cloud capital expenditure may reach $82 billion in 2026, a year-on-year increase of 31%, far exceeding the market consensus of 16%.
