Li Jiachao: The southward movement of Guangdong vehicles will benefit Hong Kong and share the achievements of the Greater Bay Area development
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government announced today the implementation arrangements for "Yue Che Nan Xia" (Guangdong vehicles coming to Hong Kong). Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee sincerely thanked the central government and the Guangdong provincial government for their strong support in promoting and implementing "Yue Che Nan Xia." This arrangement will run parallel to "Gang Che Bei Shang" (Hong Kong vehicles going to the mainland), injecting greater momentum into the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. John Lee stated that "Yue Che Nan Xia" and "Gang Che Bei Shang" complement each other and are important measures to promote the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This not only facilitates the "two-way rush" of residents from Guangdong and Hong Kong, achieving a higher level of flow of people and goods, but also opens up a new model for mainland residents visiting Hong Kong, bringing opportunities to Hong Kong's tourism, retail, and catering industries. The SAR government is steadily promoting "Yue Che Nan Xia" according to the strategy of ensuring safety, effective diversion, complete supporting facilities, and simple application, allowing Hong Kong residents and the overall society to benefit and share in the fruitful results of the Greater Bay Area's integrated development
