In San Jose, California, TDK Corporation (TSE: 6762) revealed that its corporate venture-capital arm, TDK Ventures, Inc., is participating in the Series B funding of EdgeCortix® Inc. The latter is a top fabless semiconductor firm focused on energy-efficient Artificial Intelligence (AI) processing at the edge. Through this investment, TDK Ventures aims to boost the mass production of EdgeCortix's acclaimed SAKURA-II AI co-processors, which have already achieved significant success and garnered multiple design wins.
