
Japan's Nikkei drops as tech shares track Wall Street peers lower

TOKYO, Nov 7 (Reuters) - Japan’s Nikkei share average fell on Friday as heavyweight tech stocks tracked a decline in U.S. peers overnight.The tech-heavy Nikkei (.N225) slid 1.3% to 50,209.13.The broader Topix (.TOPX) lost 0.5% to 3,298.34.Startup investor SoftBank Group (9984.T) dropped 7.5%, while chip-testing equipment maker Advantest (6857.T) slumped 6.1%, making them the top two decliners on the Nikkei in index-point terms.
