
BUZZ-Australian energy stocks hit near 8-week high on firm oil prices

Australian energy stocks (.AXEJ) have reached their highest level in nearly eight weeks, rising by 0.9%. This marks the third consecutive session of gains, driven by higher crude prices amid positive developments regarding Russian oil. Woodside Energy (WDS.AX) shares increased by 1.3%, potentially achieving a fourth straight day of gains. Year-to-date, the AXEJ index is up 1.8%, compared to a 7.8% rise in the benchmark index (.AXJO).
