The first gas storage facility cluster in Northwest China has begun supplying gas

According to PETROCHINA, with the opening of the gas supply valves at the Wengjisang gas storage facility group in the Tuha Oilfield, the first gas storage facility group in Northwest China officially commenced gas supply for this winter. The Wengjisang gas storage facility group is located in Shanshan County, Turpan City, Xinjiang, and consists of four gas storage facilities, all converted from depleted gas reservoirs. The Wengxi 1 and 2 gas storage facilities began gas injection in 2022 and 2023, respectively, while the Nanhu and Qiudong gas storage facilities injected gas for the first time this year. Currently, the maximum daily gas supply of the facility group can exceed 5 million cubic meters, with a cumulative gas supply of 296 million cubic meters. (CCTV News)
