
Bank of America Survey: Global Funds Optimistic About China's Economic Acceleration and Hang Seng Index Outperforming Next Year
Bank of America Securities' latest monthly survey found that among the global fund managers surveyed regarding developments in 2026, the proportion who are most optimistic about the acceleration of China's economic growth ranks second. Strategist Michael Hartnett and others stated in a report on Tuesday that 43% of respondents are most optimistic about the broad productivity improvements brought by artificial intelligence, the highest proportion. The proportion optimistic about the acceleration of China's economy is 24%. The third is the expectation that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates to below 3%, with a proportion of 19%. 37% of global fund managers expect the MSCI Emerging Markets Index to outperform in 2026, while the proportion choosing the Nasdaq is 13%; the Nikkei, Hong Kong Hang Seng Index, and Eurozone Stoxx Index rank third, each at 10%; the Russell 2000 and S&P 500 Index have proportions of 9% and 6%, respectively
