European car manufacturer Stellantis stated: Partner Leapmotor's electric vehicle sales in Germany last month surpassed BYD

The competition between European car manufacturer Stellantis (STLA.US) and BYD (01211.HK) continues to heat up. Florian Huettl, head of Stellantis Germany and president of Opel, stated on Wednesday that its Chinese partner Leapmotor (09863.HK) surpassed BYD in electric vehicle sales in Germany last month, with sales performance accelerating.

Leapmotor's shipments in Europe have surged this year, mainly benefiting from Stellantis' dealers introducing several of its models, including the T03 electric compact car. Huettl mentioned that Stellantis has integrated Leapmotor into its existing dealer network and provided infrastructure support, including warranty and financial services, allowing Leapmotor to quickly penetrate the market
