eBay Releases Inaugural Climate Transition Plan Targeting Net-Zero Emissions by 2045

eBay Inc. has launched its first Climate Transition Plan, aiming for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045. The plan includes validated science-based targets, with goals of a 90% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 27.5% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030, using 2019 as a baseline. eBay has already achieved a 92% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and 100% renewable electricity in its operations. The plan focuses on integrating climate actions into governance and financial planning, and collaborating with partners to mitigate value chain impacts.
