The Housing Authority is tendering for the operation and management service contract for the "Simple Public Housing" on Qingfa Street, Tuen Mun; the project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year, providing approximately 4,200 units.

So far, the authorities have awarded 6 "Simple Public Housing" operation and management service contracts, covering Yuen Long Yau Ma Tei Road, Ngau Tau Kok Choi Hing Road and Choi Shek Lane, Tuen Mun Ching Fook Lane, the first phase of Kai Tak Sports Park project, 4 converted school projects, and the Chai Wan Cheung On Street project. In addition, the Housing Authority is reviewing the bids for the seventh to tenth operation and management service contracts, involving the second phase of Kai Tak Sports Park and Tuen Mun Yan Po Road projects.

A spokesperson stated that the "Simple Public Housing" projects on Yuen Long Yau Ma Tei Road, Ngau Tau Kok Choi Hing Road, as well as the two projects converted from old school buildings on Kwun Tong Shun On Road and Sheung Shui Choi Yuen Road, have been fully occupied. The first phase of Kai Tak Sports Park and Tuen Mun Ching Fook Lane projects also began occupancy in December last year
