In order to compete with Paramount for one of Hollywood's most iconic entertainment companies, Netflix has revised its acquisition offer to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery's film studio and streaming business entirely in cash, receiving unanimous support from the company's board. The revised acquisition offer maintains the purchase price at $82.7 billion (SGD 106 billion) and has not been increased.
Reuters reported on Tuesday (January 20) that both Netflix and Paramount are eager for Warner Bros., which boasts leading film and television studios, a rich library of films, and well-known series such as Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and DC Comics' superheroes Batman and Superman.
