Trump: The only Federal Reserve chairman I have in mind may be left, hoping to be like Greenspan
U.S. President Trump declared at Davos: "I want to say that the candidates for the Federal Reserve Chairman have been narrowed down to three, no, two. And I might tell you that in my heart, there may only be one left."
Trump expressed his hope that the selected Federal Reserve Chairman would be like former Chairman Alan Greenspan.
Trump pointed out that Rick Reed and Kevin Walsh are both good candidates.
Regarding Kevin Hassett, Trump stated: "In fact, I would prefer to keep him in his current position."
