IMDA launches sustainability tools to cut enterprise energy costs

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has launched sustainability tools to help local businesses reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. Collaborating with Accenture and the Green Software Foundation, the IMDA introduced the Practical Green Software Guide, which has led to a 20% reduction in emissions and energy usage for trial participants. Additionally, a Digital Technologies for Sustainability Playbook was created to guide businesses in using automation and data analytics. The IMDA also developed Singapore-specific emission factors for ICT services and a carbon calculator for cloud services to track emissions effectively.
