The opinions on promoting the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical retail industry jointly issued by the Ministry of Commerce and 8 other departments were released on January 22, proposing 18 measures in 5 areas.

Improve pharmaceutical services by supporting pharmacies to enhance their pharmaceutical service capabilities, optimize the purchasing experience, participate in centralized drug procurement, and build a payment guarantee system, driving pharmacies to transform from "drug sales terminals" to "health service hubs."

Innovate health services by expanding the health service functions of retail pharmacies, enhancing the health service experience, enriching the pharmaceutical retail format, optimizing the product service experience, and assisting in the upgrading of pharmaceutical products, further strengthening the health service functional positioning of retail pharmacies to better serve the people's medical and health needs
