According to sources cited by Bloomberg, Hillhouse Capital is close to acquiring a significant minority stake in MODERN DENTAL (03600.HK).
Insiders say that Hillhouse is preparing to hold approximately 17% of MODERN DENTAL's shares, with an announcement expected as early as today (23rd). Hillhouse previously held a small stake in the company (less than 1%).
MODERN DENTAL has a market capitalization of about $620 million, and its stock price has fallen about 3% year-to-date, but has still risen about 26% over the past 12 months.
Hillhouse's investments in the healthcare sector include BeiGene (06160.HK), Innovent Biologics (09969.HK), and MicroPort Scientific (00853.HK)
