Philippine crew members rescued by China arrive in Manila

On January 26 local time, the Philippine Coast Guard's vessel 9701 arrived at Manila Port carrying Filipino crew members previously rescued by the Chinese side. Since January 23, the Chinese Coast Guard has been continuously organizing relevant forces to search and rescue the crew members who fell into the water from a capsized foreign cargo ship near China's Huangyan Island. So far, 17 people have been successfully rescued, of which 2 unfortunately lost their lives, and 4 remain missing. At the request of the Philippine side's on-site rescue vessels, under the unified organization and command of the Chinese Coast Guard's Dongsha ship, at 14:43 on January 25, the Chinese Coast Guard's Dongsha ship and Sanmen ship successfully completed the personnel handover with the Philippine Coast Guard's vessel 9701 in the area where the incident occurred.
