China further opens commodity futures markets to foreigners 

China's securities regulator announced that foreign investors can now trade in 14 additional futures and options products, including nickel and lithium carbonate contracts, on major Chinese commodity exchanges. This move aims to enhance the global presence of China's markets and challenge foreign benchmarks. The Shanghai Futures Exchange seeks to expand its offerings, with plans for yuan-denominated LNG futures contracts next month. Analysts expect further access for various metals contracts as part of China's strategy to internationalize the yuan.
