Majorities see education, housing as unaffordable: Survey

A recent poll by The New York Times and Siena Research Institute reveals that 58% of Americans find education unaffordable, while 54% feel the same about housing. The survey indicates that education and housing are viewed as the most unaffordable necessities, surpassing health care and family costs. The rising costs of tuition and housing, which have significantly outpaced income growth, contribute to these perceptions. President Trump's recent executive order aims to address Wall Street investors in the housing market, although they represent a small fraction of home purchases. The poll surveyed 1,625 registered voters with a margin of error of 2.8%.
