Comex Copper for January delivery rose 1.10% to $5.8925, gaining 6.40 cents per pound. It has increased in four of the last five sessions but is down 1.96% from its 52-week high of $6.0105. Year-to-date, it is up 4.66%, reflecting a 38.40% rise from a year ago. Month-to-date, it has also risen by 4.66%.
