New DEWALT autonomous drilling robot set to speed up data center construction

DEWALT has launched the world's first downward drilling, fleet-capable robot designed to enhance concrete drilling efficiency for data center construction. Developed with August Robotics, the robot has completed pilot phases, demonstrating speeds up to 10 times faster than traditional methods and saving 80 weeks across 10 projects. It achieved 99.97% accuracy for over 90,000 holes, significantly reducing costs and improving safety. Bill Beck, President of Tools and Outdoor at Stanley Black & Decker, emphasized the importance of speed in construction, highlighting the robot's role in accelerating schedules and driving productivity.
