China plans to launch "Xihe No. 2" to the L5 point of the Sun-Earth gravitational balance
On January 31, reporters learned at the launch meeting and scientific seminar of the Sun-Earth L5 Solar Probe Project "Xihe No. 2" that China plans to launch "Xihe No. 2" to the Sun-Earth L5 point between 2028 and 2029. It is understood that "Xihe No. 2" will be able to achieve precise measurements of the solar magnetic field and solar activity, establish a complete three-dimensional physical model of solar eruptions, and enhance China's space weather warning and forecasting capabilities.
