
KKR partners with SingTel to spend $5.1 billion to acquire 82% of data center operator STT GDC's remaining equity
Private equity firm KKR and SingTel will acquire the remaining 82% stake in data center operator ST Telemedia Global Data Centres for SGD 6.6 billion (approximately USD 5.1 billion), valuing STT GDC at SGD 13.8 billion.
Upon completion of the transaction, KKR will hold a 75% stake in STT GDC, while SingTel will hold the remaining 25% stake.
KKR stated that as demand for cloud computing and AI workloads grows, global investment in data centers is accelerating, and this transaction will be the company's largest infrastructure investment in the Asia-Pacific region
