As of this year, there have been 119 merger and acquisition transactions involving state-controlled listed companies in the A-share market
As of February 5th this year, based on the date of the first announcement and excluding failed transactions, there have been 119 merger and acquisition cases involving state-controlled listed companies in the A-share market (based on actual controllers), with 10 completed and 109 ongoing. In terms of industry sectors, there are relatively more merger and acquisition cases in non-ferrous metals, air transportation, aviation equipment, and high-end manufacturing, aside from the energy sector. Industry insiders believe that with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council clearly stating that it will accelerate the optimization of the layout and structural adjustment of the state-owned economy, the quantity and quality of mergers and acquisitions by state-controlled listed companies in 2026 are worth looking forward to.
