The non-executive director of Kwoon Chung Motors (00062.HK), Lei Li Quan, expressed expectations for Kwoon Chung to continue expanding. In addition to exploring autonomous navigation technology, the company is also paying attention to opportunities in the Middle East market. He believes that in collaboration with Sun Hung Kai Properties (00016.HK), Kwoon Chung still has four parcels of land in Sha Tin and Tuen Mun available for residential development, which is expected to yield a buildable area of 3 million square feet, generating revenue.
Lei Li Quan pointed out that they recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi in the UAE and are learning from their investment in Shenzhen buses about using electric grids and artificial intelligence for operations. He also cited that about one-third of autonomous vehicles in San Francisco, USA, as an example, and hopes to explore the safe application of autonomous driving technology in Hong Kong in the future
