According to domestic media reports from BYD (01211.HK) Investor Relations Department, the company is adopting a multi-route exploration strategy in the field of solid-state batteries, with sulfide solid-state batteries as an important technological direction. It has made breakthroughs in battery life and fast charging, and is expected to achieve small-scale production by 2027.
It is reported that BYD plans to launch mass demonstration vehicle applications of all-solid-state batteries around 2027 and achieve large-scale commercialization after 2030. In the field of sodium batteries, BYD is currently in the development stage of the third-generation product technology platform and has developed sodium battery products with a cycle life of 10,000 times, with mass production timelines to be determined based on actual market and customer demand
