In other tech stocks, Tencent (00700.HK) opened down 1.5% at 543 HKD, while Kuaishou (01024.HK), JD.com (09618.HK), and Baidu (09888.HK) opened up between 0.9% and 1.3%. Bilibili (09626.HK) opened up 1.9%. Meituan (03690.HK) opened down 0.5%, NetEase (09999.HK) opened flat at 193 HKD, and Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347.HK) opened up 0.5%.
In the automotive sector, BYD (01211.HK) opened up 1.3%. Nio (09866.HK) aims to achieve full-year profitability on a Non-GAAP basis this year, with its stock price opening up 1.7%. Lei Jun stated that the first-generation Xiaomi SU7 has delivered nearly 370,000 units, with Xiaomi opening up 0.6%.
In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) opened down 0.4% at 139.7 HKD, while the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00388.HK) and AIA (01299.HK) opened up 0.7%. Standard Chartered (02888.HK) opened down 2.5% at 193 HKD.
