
XPeng made an appearance at the 19th informal working group meeting of the United Nations WP.29 on autonomous driving systems
From February 9 to 13, the 19th informal working group meeting and the 14th seminar on Automated Driving Systems (ADS) of the United Nations World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29) was held in Shanghai. This meeting was organized by the Standardization Administration under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, commissioned by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations, with support from Shanghai Automotive City. The meeting reported on the outcomes of the 24th meeting of the working group on automated driving and connected vehicles, as well as the progress of United Nations regulations and global technical regulations for automated driving systems; discussed the initial draft content of various technical chapters of the regulatory interpretation documents for automated driving, and exchanged opinions on dynamic driving tasks (DDT), inspections, human-machine interaction, safety use cases, and testing. China proposed several technical recommendations regarding DDT and human-machine interaction, which received significant attention from all parties present
