China Index Academy: In the second half of 2025, the average rent of shops on major commercial streets in key cities will decrease by 0.81% year-on-year

According to the survey data of key commercial streets in 15 major cities across the country, the rental index for shops on the top 100 commercial streets (Baijie) is based on a sample of 100 commercial streets. In the second half of 2025, the average rent for shops on these streets is expected to be 24.05 yuan per square meter per day, a month-on-month decrease of 0.47%, which is an increase of 0.12 percentage points compared to the first half of 2025. The cumulative decline for the whole year is 0.81%, which is an increase of 0.39 percentage points compared to the cumulative decline in 2024
