The report from the China Index Academy shows that in 2025, service consumption will maintain rapid growth, especially in cultural and tourism-related consumption, which will grow quickly. The foot traffic and rental prices of landmark commercial streets located in core business districts or those with cultural and tourism attributes will remain relatively stable. The growth rate of dining revenue is slowing down, and coupled with the impact of high-quality shopping centers, most commercial streets are under operational pressure, leading to a decline in rental prices. According to survey data from major commercial streets in 15 key cities across the country, a sample of 100 commercial streets in key cities constitutes the rental price index for the top 100 commercial streets (Baijie). In the second half of 2025, the average rental price for Baijie shops will be 24.05 yuan/square meter/day, a month-on-month decrease of 0.47%, with the decline expanding by 0.12 percentage points compared to the first half of 2025. The cumulative decline for the whole year will be 0.81%, which is an increase of 0.39 percentage points compared to the cumulative decline in 2024
