Regarding the long-term housing arrangements for residents of Tai Po Hung Fuk Court, the Secretary for Housing, Ho Wing-hin, stated at a special meeting of the Legislative Council's Housing Affairs Committee that if owners sell their properties to the government, they can receive a cash payment, which is the most flexible option. They can purchase suitable units in the private market or use part of the cash as savings and another part for buying a property.

The second method is that owners receive cash but wish to have a subsidized sale unit for long-term residence. The government will select 3,900 units under the "Special Sale Scheme." If owners accept the government's acquisition proposal (by indicating acceptance on or before August 31), they will be prioritized. If owners can accept the acquisition proposal earlier, on or before June 30, they will be placed in the first batch, allowing them to select their units first; for those in the same batch, the order of selection will be determined by a lottery. In other words, there will be two batches of owners: those who accept the proposal on or before June 30 and those who accept it between July 1 and August 31, with selections starting in September.

She pointed out that regarding the acquisition price, Hung Fuk Court has four types of units with areas ranging from 431 to 483 square feet, divided into those with and without land premium. Units without land premium can be exchanged for HKD 3.45 million, while those with land premium can be exchanged for over HKD 5 million at most. As for the "flat-for-flat" arrangement, the value is calculated based on the owner's own unit. For example, if the unit's value is HKD 3.74 million, the "flat-for-flat voucher" held by the owner will be equivalent to HKD 3.74 million. If they exchange for a smaller unit, they will have cash left over. If they choose a better location or a unit of the same size or even a larger unit, they may need to pay additional cash.

She also mentioned that the government currently has a total of 10 projects, six of which are the announced "Green Form Subsidized Home Ownership Scheme 2025" and "Home Ownership Scheme 2025" projects. Additionally, Tai Po Chung Nga Road West is originally a site for public housing units, which is currently under construction, with the foundation already completed and the superstructure being gradually built. However, the buildings above have not yet been constructed, and the plans can be modified, so they specifically changed the plans to units of over 400 square feet. The authorities have divided Chung Nga Road West into two phases, with the first phase having 900 units and the second phase having 600 units. Furthermore, the Housing Society's Pak Wo Road project has 100 units, and the Anderson Road project, located in a more urban area, has another 300 units, totaling 3,900 units
