Image credit: Denza)</figcaption></figure><p>BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) is advancing its technological iteration in the premium electric vehicle (EV) market, bringing battery electric vehicle (BEV) models with over 1,000 km range to market.</p><p>On Friday, its wholly-owned luxury brand Denza previewed the new Z9GT, boasting a pure electric range of up to 1,036 kilometers, aiming to completely eliminate consumer range anxiety.</p><p>Denza claims the updated Z9GT's range is the world's highest for pure electric vehicles. This represents a 460-kilometer, or 64.44%, increase over the previous Z9GT's 630-kilometer pure-electric range.</p>    <div>        <p><span>Join us on </span>            Telegram            <span> or </span>            Google News        </p>    </div><p>A regulatory filing earlier this month revealed the updated Z9GT will offer battery pack capacities of 102.326 kWh and 122.496 kWh, with CLTC ranges of 820-1036 kilometers.</p><p>It's worth noting that the updated Z9 sedan, equipped with the same battery packs, will offer CLTC ranges of 905-1068 kilometers, according to the filing.</p><p>Denza also filed for plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) versions of the Z9 and Z9GT, featuring a 63.82 kWh battery pack — nearly double the capacity of its predecessor — enabling a pure electric range exceeding 400 kilometers under CLTC conditions.</p><p>The older Z9GT PHEV had a CLTC pure-electric range of 201 kilometers.</p><p>While retaining its signature e3 triple-motor independent drive technology, the new Z9GT introduces a single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant with a maximum power output of 370 kW, offering consumers more diverse options.</p><p>Currently available Z9GT models all feature three motors and utilize the e3 triple-motor independent drive technology.</p><p>In terms of exterior and perception hardware, the Z9GT introduces a new green exterior color and relocates the LiDAR to the roof to support the latest God's Eye 5.0 advanced smart driving system.</p><p>Denza was established in February 2011 as a joint venture between BYD and Daimler, with each holding a 50%stake at the time. In February 2022, the Daimler brand was rebranded as Mercedes-Benz.</p><p>BYD increased its stake in Denza to 90% in 2022, reducing Mercedes-Benz's share to 10%.
