Macau's gross gaming revenue in February was MOP 20.627 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%, exceeding expectations and recovering to 81% of pre-pandemic levels, mainly driven by the peak travel season during the Lunar New Year. The total gaming revenue for the first two months of this year was MOP 43.26 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%. During the Lunar New Year holiday, the number of inbound travelers to Macau reached 1.554 million, setting a new record. JP Morgan pointed out that the performance of gaming revenue during the Lunar New Year was uneven, with initial bets declining but then surging.
