    Optus first half sales revenue rises 1.7% as mobile and home customer base grows

    For the half year ended 30 September 2025, Optus reported a 1.7% increase in revenue, with mobile service revenue up 4.8%. EBITDA rose by 7.2% and EBIT increased by 27%. The company added 169,000 mobile customers and home customers grew by 8,000. Optus also assigned Premier League rights to Nine Entertainment and sold 340 mobile tower sites to Waveconn.

    Singtel's first-half underlying profit rises 14%

    Nov 12 (Reuters) - Singapore Telecommunications (STEL.SI) posted a 14% rise in first-half profit on Wednesday, boosted by robust performance from its Australian unit Optus and regional associates.Southeast Asia’s largest telecom firm said underlying net profit was S$1.35 billion ($1.04 billion) for the six months ended September 30, compared with S$1.19 billion last year.That was slightly below Visible Alpha consensus estimate of S$1.37 billion. ($1 = 1.2942 Singapore dollars)

    KKR, Singtel group seek $5 billion loan for STT GDC buyout: Sources

    A consortium of KKR & Co. and Singtel is negotiating a $5 billion loan with banks to finance the acquisition of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). The deal may be structured as a bridge facility, split between a term loan and revolving credit. If completed, it could become Asia's largest leveraged buyout in the data center sector, driven by increasing demand for cloud services. STT GDC operates over 100 facilities across 20 markets, including India and South Korea, and KKR and Singtel currently hold minority stakes in the company.
