- In January, India saw a rare shift in fund allocation as gold ETFs recorded a net inflow of ₹ 2,404 crore (approximately $ 265 million), surpassing stock funds for the first time.  
- This change followed record-high gold prices driven by geopolitical and monetary risks, indicating a resilient demand for gold even as its price declined slightly last week.  
- Overall, while gold ETFs gained favor among investors, stock funds maintained a positive net inflow for the 59th consecutive month, reflecting a stable investment trend despite the Nifty 50 Index's underperformance.
