Zhang Guosheng, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Commerce, stated at the Hongqiao International Economic Forum that the silver economy will be promoted by expanding opening-up and promoting the development of the housekeeping service industry. There are plans to revise the "Catalog of Industries for Encouraging Foreign Investment (2025 Edition)" to add support items for the elderly care industry, guide foreign investment into the elderly care sector, and introduce international advanced elderly care concepts, products, and technologies through major exhibitions to support Chinese enterprises in exploring international markets and enhancing the development level of the elderly care industry
