The latest prediction from Kim Joungho, known as the "father of HBM," shows that the commercialization process of High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) has significantly accelerated compared to expectations. This technology is expected to be integrated into GPU products from NVIDIA, AMD, and others within the next 2-3 years. With the tenfold capacity advantage brought by NAND stacking, HBF will fill the storage gap of HBM in AI inference scenarios. The market expects it to achieve large-scale application in the HBM6 phase, and by 2038, the market size may even surpass HBM, becoming a key force in the next generation of high-bandwidth storage
AMD and Intel stocks rose after KeyBanc upgraded both companies, citing strong demand for AI servers. Despite a 2% month-over-month decline in traditional server instances, year-over-year growth remains positive. KeyBanc analyst John Vinh favored Intel for near-term momentum, upgrading its rating to Overweight with a $60 price target, while AMD was also upgraded to Overweight with a $270 target. AMD shares increased by 6.14% to $220.30, and Intel shares rose by 3.15%.
Micron Technology's stock surged over 240% in 2025, with analysts predicting further gains in 2026. Lynx Equity Strategy raised its price target to $550, suggesting a 60% upside, driven by rising AI demand and improving industry fundamentals. The firm anticipates a doubling of Micron's earnings per share to $62 by fiscal 2028 and revenue doubling between fiscal 2026 and 2028, despite potential near-term volatility. Micron is expected to benefit from a shift in data-center demand towards high-bandwidth memory products.
In the global AI competition, Musk pointed out that China is expected to narrow the gap with the United States due to its advantages in electricity production scale, predicting that by 2026, China's electricity output will reach nearly three times that of the United States. A Goldman Sachs report shows that the U.S. power grid faces capacity shortages, while China's power reserve capacity will meet three times the global data center demand. Musk believes that although the U.S. restricts China's access to advanced semiconductors, the impact will weaken over time. Morgan Stanley analysts warn that the U.S. may face a power gap of up to 20% by 2028
U.S. stocks closed with the overall market continuing its strong performance, with all three major indices advancing together. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 Index reached new historical highs, with the automotive retailers and engineering machinery sectors performing prominently, as AutoZone and Caterpillar rose by 2.98% and 1.97%, respectively. The Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged, and macroeconomic indicators show strong economic resilience, but caution is needed regarding potential volatility risks in the future
