Indonesia joins government-led coalition to grow carbon markets
Indonesia has joined a government-led coalition to enhance carbon markets, becoming the 11th sovereign member. The coalition aims to leverage Indonesia's expertise in forest-based carbon projects and nature-based solutions to support emissions reductions and green growth. Announced by Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni in London, Indonesia will collaborate with other nations to boost demand for high-integrity carbon credits. The coalition, founded by Singapore, the UK, and Kenya, seeks to establish consistent principles for carbon credit utilization and develop policies to sustain buyer interest.
