GRAINS-Chicago grains ease as Greenland row and global supply weigh
Chicago grain futures, including soybeans, wheat, and corn, declined amid geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and Europe over Greenland and concerns of a potential trade war. Despite a weaker dollar and strong international demand, ample global supply, particularly from Brazil, weighed on prices. The most-active soybean contract fell 0.2% to $10.56 per bushel, while wheat and corn dropped 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively. Traders expect China to shift back to Brazilian soybeans as the harvest begins, impacting U.S. soybean demand.
