Two departments: Classification and improvement of the electricity price mechanism for coal power, gas power, pumped storage, and new energy storage capacity
The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly issued a notice proposing to improve the capacity pricing mechanism for coal power, gas power, pumped storage, and new energy storage. The notice requires localities to raise the coal power capacity pricing standards based on actual conditions and may refer to coal power to establish a gas power capacity pricing mechanism; for newly constructed pumped storage power stations, a unified capacity pricing standard should be formulated; at the same time, a new energy storage capacity pricing mechanism on the grid side should be established, determining pricing standards based on factors such as discharge duration and peak contribution
