KKR partners with SingTel to spend $5.1 billion to acquire 82% of data center operator STT GDC's remaining equity
Private equity firm KKR and SingTel will acquire the remaining 82% stake in data center operator ST Telemedia Global Data Centres for SGD 6.6 billion (approximately USD 5.1 billion), with an enterprise value of SGD 13.8 billion. After the transaction, KKR will hold a 75% stake in STT GDC, while SingTel will hold 25%. KKR stated that as demand for cloud computing and AI workloads grows, global investment in data centers is accelerating, making this transaction its largest infrastructure investment in the Asia-Pacific region
